So it's finally here. Two years after I first conceived of the project, Reality is born. It's been a long, hard road getting this comic to print (or the web in this case), but one that I and Marco have enjoyed thoroughly. So why Reality? Well, I attended San Diego Comic Con in 09, traveling all the way from London, England for what was my Mecca. This only fuelled the love of comics that started when I was 10 years old, when my mum brought me a batch of Marvel and DC comics. After I got home from San Diego I attended a few more conventions back in the UK and decided I wanted to be involved in comics, I wanted to create them, I wanted them to flow from my mind onto the page. So I started writing and now I have various projects at different stages of production, but none that fill me with joy in quite the way that Reality does. Reality is my love letter to the superhero comics I grew up with and continue to read to this day. I of course added my own spin on the superhero genre. As someone that works with kids and is bemused by the over the top celebrity culture created by X-Factor and reality TV, I got to thinking, what would actually happen if a teenager gained superpowers. The results of these thoughts are now online for you to read. Marco and I intend this to be a 5 issue series that will be free here on the internet and if there's demand, who knows you may even hold a printed copy of Reality in your hands one day. Let's hope so.
So anyway the intention of this blog is to keep you updated on the creation of and of any news that may pertain to this comic. So in the up coming weeks I'll let you in on how Marco and I first teamed up and the processes we've been through to get here. From time to time I'll also comment on things that are happening in the industry and may even on occasion write a film or comic review. I look forward to adventures ahead and of course hearing your feedback on Reality.
Tony
